Futures Tick Value Calculator
Find the dollar value of a tick, a point and your stop for popular CME futures, and how many contracts fit your risk.
How it works
Every futures contract moves in a minimum price step, the tick, which has a fixed dollar value. The point value is the tick value divided by the tick size: for the E-mini S&P 500 (ES) that is 12.50 ÷ 0.25 = 50 USD per point. A 10-point stop on 2 ES contracts therefore risks 2 × 10 × 50 = 1,000 USD.
Micro contracts are one tenth of the standard size: MES is worth 5 USD per point and MNQ 2 USD per point, which makes them easier to size for small accounts.
